Life Boat Fall Prevention Devices

On-load hook release systems of lifeboats around the world are a double edged sword. It is a well known fact that lifeboats injure and kill more people than actually saving them. This is due to poorly designed hook release systems coupled with a lack of familiarity in the operation of such hook release systems. As such, Lifeboat Fall Prevention Devices (FPDs) should be used as an alternate load path in the event of an accidental release or failure of the lifeboat hooks.

All Fall Prevention Devices are fully compliant to the guidelines set forth in MSC 1327 and come with a class certificate and necessary equipment for easy installation.
